ഞാന്‍ ആരാണ് ? എന്താണ്? എങ്ങനെയാണ്? എവിടെയാണ്? ഒന്നുമെനിക്കറിയില്ല ... എങ്കിലും... ഞാന്‍, എവിടെയോ ജനിച്ചു, അവിടെതന്നെ ജീവിച്ചു, അവിടെ നിന്ന് മരിച്ചു... ഞാന്‍, മാസങ്ങള്‍ കൊണ്ട് ജനിച്ചു വര്‍ഷങ്ങളോളം ജീവിച്ചു... എങ്കിലും... ഒരു നിമിഷം കൊണ്ട് മരിച്ചു. ഞാന്‍, എന്‍റെ ഇഷ്ടമില്ലാതെ ജനിച്ചു ജനിച്ചതിനാല്‍ ജീവിച്ചു, ജീവിച്ചതിനാല്‍ മരിച്ചു... ഞാന്‍ ജനിച്ചു പോയതിന്റെ ദുഖം പേറി ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ വഴികളിലൂടെ മരണത്തിലേക്ക് യാത്ര ചെയ്തു... ആ യാത്ര, അത് വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ നീണ്ടു... പൈതലില്‍ നിന്ന് പിതാവായും പുത്രനായും പൌത്രനായുമുള്ള യാത്ര... ഒരിക്കലും പിന്തിരിയാത്ത യാത്ര ഒടുവില്‍ മരണത്തിന്‍റെ പടിവാതില്‍ക്കല്‍ എത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ അറിയാതെ ഓര്‍ത്തുപോയി ... ഞാന്‍ എന്ത് നേടി? അവശേഷിക്കുന്നത് ഈ ചോദ്യം മാത്രം... ഉത്തരം എനിക്കറിയില്ല ആര്‍ക്കും അറിയില്ല അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു കാര്യവും ഇല്ല അത് ഒരു പക്ഷെ ഇതിലും വലിയ ചോദ്യ ചിഹ്നങ്ങള്‍ ആയിരിക്കാം....
വരള്‍ച്ച ...
പച്ചയണിഞ്ഞ പാടങ്ങളില്‍ തെളിനീരില്ല - വരണ്ടുണങ്ങുന്ന ഭൂമിയെ ഓര്‍ത്തു പൊഴിക്കുവാന്‍ കണ്ണുനീരില്ല . . . കാഴ്ചകള്‍ക്ക് കുളിരില്ല, നനുത്ത കാറ്റിന്‍റെ മര്‍മരം കേള്‍പ്പതില്ല. ഇഴയും കാട്ടാറിനു കളനിസ്വനങ്ങളില്ല തരുക്കളില്ലോരങ്ങളില്‍... സൂര്യനെ സ്നേഹിച്ച താമര മൊട്ടു വിടരാതെ വാടി വീണിട്ടും സൂര്യ താപം ശമിപ്പതില്ല... ഒരു മഴ തുള്ളിക്കായ് കേഴുന്ന വേഴാമ്പലിന്‍ കണ്ടമിടരുന്നു ദാഹിച്ചു തൊണ്ട വരളുന്നു.. വളരുവാന്‍ വയ്യാതെ വിത്തുകള്‍ മണ്ണിനോട് വിട ചൊല്ലുന്നു. പറവകള്‍ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച പാടത്ത്, ഉറവകള്‍ വറ്റിയ വരമ്പത്ത്, കരയുവാന്‍ പോലും ആവാതെയൊരു കര്‍ഷകന്‍ കാവലിരിക്കുന്നു... അമ്മയാം ഭൂമിക്കു മാറില്‍ മാതൃത്വത്തിന്‍റെ വരള്‍ച്ച മനസ്സില്‍ പെയ്യാന്‍ മടിക്കുന്ന നന്മയുടെ വാനം... നിണമണിഞ്ഞ നീലകുഴലുകളില്‍, സ്നേഹത്തുടിപ്പിന്‍റെ വരള്‍ച്ച. നിറമണിഞ്ഞ സായന്തനങ്ങളില്‍, കുളിരോര്‍മകള്‍ക്ക് വരള്‍ച്ച. ഞാന്‍ എന്തെന്ന തിരിച്ചറിവില്‍, എന്‍റെ നഷ്ട സ്വപ്നങ്ങളുടെ കണക്കെടുപ്പില്‍, കയ്യിലേന്തിയ തൂലികയ്ക്ക് പകരാന്‍, ആശയങ്ങളില്ല - എന്‍ മനസ്സിലും വരള്‍ച്ചയോ? വറ്റി വരളുമീ തെളി നീരുറവയില്‍, ഒരിറ്റു ജലമവശ
ഒരു പ്രണയത്തിന്‍റെ അവശേഷിപ്പുകള്‍ ...
എനിക്ക് നഷ്ടമായത് ഞാന്‍ ഏറ്റവും കൊതിയോടെ കണ്ട സ്വപ്നങ്ങളാണ് എന്‍റെ ആഗ്രഹങ്ങളാണ്, വിശ്വാസങ്ങളാണ് ... ഒരു കുഞ്ഞു കാറ്റ് പോലും ഇക്കിളി പെടുത്തിയിരുന്ന എന്‍റെ മനസിന്‍റെ നിഷ്കളങ്കതയാണ് കളങ്കപെട്ട ഈ മനസ്സില്‍ തീരവേദനകള്‍ മാത്രം ബാക്കി വെച്ച് നീ പോയി മറഞ്ഞു എവിടേക് എന്നോ എന്തിനെന്നോ ചോദിക്കുവാന്‍ എന്‍റെ നാവില്‍ ശബ്ദം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല നിന്‍റെ കണ്ണുകളുടെ പ്രതിഫലനങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നും ഉള്ളില്‍ പടര്‍ന്ന നോവ്‌ ഞാന്‍ അറിഞ്ഞു ഈ അനന്ത വിഹായസ്സിനു കീഴില്‍ ഇല കൊഴിഞ്ഞ വൃക്ഷം പോലെ ഇനിയുമൊരു പൂക്കാലത്തിനായി ഞാന്‍ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു...

1 June 2010 It was the first time i was going to stay away from my parents... I knew i won't be back to home for next ten months... i knew i had to leave behind everything that was dear to me...i was going to enter a new world... i had a lot of dreams in my mind... and as i entered the bus station to board my bus a piercing smell entered my nostrils... i turned around and found this pile of wastes... dumped right where hundreds of people come n go daily...stray dogs wandering in and around the place...right at the heart of the city...making a nasty feeling...wiping away my dreams ... is this the clean green city of calicut???
